Fire door maintenance and repairs.

Fire doors wear out with use. Closers weaken, seals get damaged or painted over, hinges drop and gaps open up. We adjust, repair and replace parts to get the door closing and sealing as it should. If it can't be put right, we'll tell you why and quote for the alternative.

Questions

Can you work from our fire risk assessment action list?

Yes. Email the list and we'll price each door on it, and tell you if there's anything on it we don't do.

Is it OK to wedge a fire door open?

No. A fire door only works when it is closed. If a door needs to stay open in normal use, ask your fire risk assessor about a hold-open device that releases the door when the fire alarm sounds.
